Faress Bhuiyan

I am an Associate Professor and Chair of the Economics Department at Carleton College (MN, USA) specializing in economic development. Before moving to Illinois, USA, to complete my undergraduate and graduate work at Northwestern University, I lived for fifteen years in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am a father of two wonderful boys, Wali and Rafael. In my free time, I like to play cricket, soccer, ping pong, and badminton. I am also a very happy happiness economist!
